A period of time in which boarders are expected to complete their homework. Often broken into 1st prep (doors/curtains open) and 2nd prep (where you can have a little more privacy). At around 8 or 8:30 there is a half an hour intermission called Supper which is also the time for teeth brushing and changing into night clothes.
Prep for a typical Yr 11 would begin after Dinner (Tea) at 7pm, stop at 8:30pm for Supper and resume at 9pm. Lights would go out at 10:30pm.
During prep there is to be total silence, and to work with another person you must ask for permission first. Boarding staff patrol the area.

A prep is a snobby, rich, "pretty" (although most of them are ass-hideous and just think that they're beautiful), girl whom will later get implants because she's an AA cup and is jealous of all the other non-prep girls in her school. She thinks that the school revolves around her, and her "friends" aren't really her friends, they just follow her around because they want to be preps too. It's all a useless chain and they think that the whole school loves them when really everybody hates them for how full of themselves they really are.
If your dream is to be a prep, get ready to be hated by all of the school, not because they're jealous of you, but because of what a low-life bitch you really are.
