Origin of this word comes from the phenomen called friendzone where chances of becaming mate of the desired person is a fucking joke. New term non zoned friend or NZF is used to show that person is not in a friendzone to avoid confusion.

In other words, these people are sus. Ultra Mega Neon Fly-Ride Best Friends are typically of the same gender and usually two boys. However, they could be two people of another gender as well.
