A type of jazz music that is associated with the record label ECM. Common characteristics in ECM jazz is drawn out compositions and focus on atmosphere over melody, usually taking cues from other genres such as Classical or New Age.

Dude 2: It's all ECM Jazz, so I got it for a bargin.

(noun) a genre of music that is comprised primarily of jazz components (e.g. instrumentation, improvisatory, etc.) but pulls in components of other genres (typically metal or electronica) that gives it a sound that would be at home in the fictional land of Oz.

The Aussie band, The Necks, play Oz jazz.

When a plaintiff doesn't have a good case, acts panicky, and freaks out for lack of any other option by filing a frivolous lawsuit, hoping to whoop up public sympathy.
