Treethugger

noun, the embodiment of both both the hip-hop and hippie cultures. often bearded, wearing thick brimmed glasses.

common attire is a trifecta of full-print; the hoodie, flat brim cap, and t-shirt, all full-print. nice jeans, long hemp or flashy necklaces, and more often then not, nike dunks, limited edition or wacky colors, often sb.
im tired of going to shows and seeing all the treethuggers stand in a group, not dancing, and sip on beer. which is weird because they were all probably on a bunch of ecstasy.

alex just bought a new pair nike dunk sb's, in orange, blue, and purple to match his orange, blue, and purple, negro league new era cap. which also matches his orange, blue and purple oversized bead on his oversized hemp necklace.

Treehugger

Different from an environmentalist. An environmentalist is somebody who is rational, practical, and scientific.

Treehuggers think purely with emotion and not with actual critical thinking skills.

Typically without any job or hobby, spends their time protesting without thinking of any actual goals or solutions, and does things that feel good but are actually detrimental.

Example, blocking roads and pestering ordinary people, causing idling vehicles traffic and thus thereby causing even more CO2 buildup and moving people away from the movement.

Example 2: Torching SUVs because they are secretly jealous, which in turn creates toxins and co2 and smoke to release into the air, thereby causing more global warming, committing a major crime against ordinary people, and again moving away the average Joe from the cause that the treehugger wants people to join.

Often seen handing out flyers advertising their protest which wastes paper and ends up on the ground as litter.

Is too pathetic to actually work for practical solutions to combat climate change and instead resorts to slacktivism and eco terrorism because they lack the internal strength and motivation to solve problems.
Friend 1: Dude why is there so much traffic and smog today?

Friend 2: those tree hugging idiots blocked the road and caused the cars to idle, idk some stupid protest or something.

Friend 1: Why can't they get a job?

Friend 2: Probably because they blew thousands of dollars of their parents money on an un employable college major and now resort to activism as a way to cope with the fact that they are ashamed of their lack of real accomplishments in life.

Friend 1: Agreed. Fuck treehuggers.
