meaning your not really "fine" your actually hurting inside but don't want to burden anyone with your problems.

person: Hey are you okay? you've been acting different lately.

other person: "I'm fine."

Girls use this often because they think it's easier to say "I'm fine" then everything that's not. So when a girl reply with "I'm fine" just ask another time if they are sure bc they are probably not fine.

Him: how are you?
Her: I'm fine. (Inside dying)

girl: I'm fine

she is not feeling good (mentally and/or physically) and thinks you (S.O.) might tell her "I know you're not baby, what's wrong?" we may not tell you and might get annoyed if you keep asking but we may eventually tell you but we take your caring words to heart and it usually makes us feel better.

(S.O.): Hey, how are you love?
girl: I'm fine wbu
(S.O.): I know you're not baby, what's wrong?
girl: (explains problem)

(S.O.): Hey, how are you love?
girl: I'm fine wbu

You mostly say it when you are NOT fine, but you don't want anyone to worry about you.

Person 1: Hi, how are you?
Person 2: oh, I'm fine. Just tired.

I'm fine

A female will say this but she does not mean it. She wants you to give her attention and figure out whats wrong.

I didn't text my girlfriend all day and so I decided to text her "How are you, babe?" after I got off work and she replied, "I'm fine." I immediately knew that she was pissed.
