Quite possibly the most irritating song on the planet, with the exception of Dolly Parton's "9 to 5".
Jesus, we've only been in the car for twenty minutes and I've already had to turn off "Hollaback Girl" seven times!

A song that Gwen Stefani composed when Courtney Love told her (as a diss) that she was a cheerleader. Gwen responded making that totally "hollaback" popular cheerleader song which is kind of contradictory. Why? Because "hollaback girl" is slang for "im not the type of girl that just 'HOLLERS BACK another diss'(get it? hollaback girl? any connections here?)So as Gwen Stefani wrote that she wasn't just a girl who screams an insult to a wannabee but instead gets into action, she actually did. If she wanted to prove that she wasn't a hollabacking cheerleader she could've just beat the crap out of Courtney Love.
Love: Oh my god! Gwen! You're such a bouncy flouncy cheerleader."
Stefani: WhatEEVERR! I'm gonna make an awesome song about my great awesome cheerleadingness and everyone will think im NOT !
Love: WHAT A GIRLY-GIRL! That will make the media and public think you ARE a hollaback girl.
Stefani(to herself):I'm making a song defending me verbally about myself with Pharrell Williams saying that i don't just defend myself verbally. Maybe no one will notice.
Love: This is BANANAS
Stefani: Just what I was thinking!

Instead of punching her in the face like she deserved, that hollaback girl just shouted insults at her.

Ms. Stefani was born in 1969. I think after one reaches the age of 35, one should start to act one's age. She is no longer a "girl", no longer has pom-poms, and should not be hollabacking at anyone.
