Chrono(di)vergent

An adjective to describe when you have a chronotype that is divergent or different from the typical or "normal" chronotype. It can also be a noun (chronodivergence). Similar to neurodivergent and neurodivergence.

I just learned that as a night owl, I am chrono(di)vergent!

People who are anomalies with their sleep schedules are often referred to as chrono(di)vergent.

Chrono virus

When you turn up to a cycling time trial and perform appallingly, then generate list of excuses in your head as you roll back from the finish to the race HQ, but cannot think of any so blame it on a cold you might have had recently.

"Pete that was a shit performance"

"I know Trev, got a bit of Chrono Virus and heavy legs"

"What the fuck are heavy legs?"

"Dunno, gfgi"

Chrono shaming

When someone shames you for the chronotype (sleep/wake/alert schedule/type you have/are).

Just because I sleep late and get up late does not mean you should be chrono shaming me. It's thanks to capitalism, anyways.

Fuck the chrono shaming, I will live my life and be up and asleep as my body needs.
