"Hey Tommy, can I ask you a question? (the pre-ask) Why is the IT department so cruel? (the real question)"

who asked, is a whitty "comeback" in a argument and is also shown to mostly have been used by fatherless children. and there are some counters to this "comeback" examples below.
person 1: hey did you kno-
person 2:"who asked?"
person 1 "oh i know, me myself and I thats 3 people right there"
person 2: "well I-"
person 1:"also by asking who asked you are showing interest in this conversation so that means you were interested and if you were interested that means internaly, you truly asked, so somebody did ask and that person is you, so if anything you just insulted yourself so that is who asked my good man."

Among middle and high schoolers, it basically means asking somebody to become your boyfriend/ girlfriend, or just simply taking friendship up to another level. After asking/ being asked out, he/ she will give you a hug after class or when he/ she sees you, and probably tell friends about it.

An insult, meaning they don't want to hear what you have to say. Normally told at school in one of these two circumstances--1)They asked you the question and you answered it honestly 2)You give your opinion on the same topic when they were talking to you
This is normally a sign of bullying or harassment, but some people mistake it for "kids being kids". If the same person says "Nobody Asked" to you more than once, you should stop talking to them as they are trying to get under your skin.

Person 1: What's your favorite Star Wars movie or TV Show?
Person 2: I like The Mandalorian, it was a great Star Wars show!
Person 1: THE MANDALORIAN IS TRASH, NOBODY ASKED!
Person 2: But, you literally asked...
Person 1: DOES IT LOOK LIKE I CARE?!

Used by some Southern UK speakers in place of can't be arsed because they misheard it, or want to be more polite.
