Skrillaz

NY Capital District, specifically Albany, slang from the suburbs and Pine Hills CollegeTown neighborhoods (then called the Student Ghetto or College Hood) in the 2010s. Related to the term Skrillz, or rolls/epills, and short form for Skrilla Killa or essentially a hustler, fighter, and party animal or playboy associated with Skrillz (Ecstasy). Normally used from teenagers from Albany’s outskirts and suburbs as well as CollegeTown in its Student Ghetto/College Hood phase of the time (which changed after the Kegs-N-Eggs Riot on St Patrick’s Day 2011.

“Bro everyone still catching rides from Western and Central, they’ll pass the city line soon and get down here”
“It’s time to skrill face and party man. We got Colonie and Bethlehem down w the movement. Guilderland opening doors son. Haha. Got all UAlbany and St Rose inviting us to these parties and we only 17”

When a friend or loved one unabashedly looks over your shoulder while you are scrolling through your social media feed and reads and comments on what they are seeing. If they reach over your shoulder to scroll back or see a post, this is considered an escalation to a full on feedjacking.

most likely an anglicization of swedish word skräll; bang, crash, bray, clap
admittedly it could be from skrillex, and skrill maybe associated with skrillexs early dubstep sound, both the high pitch whiny saws, oscillations, sub growling and screeching sounds.
