January meme

A low-quality meme. It generally comes to prominence in January, as the stress of both the end of classes and Christmas fades away and the quality of the Internet degrades as a whole. You know what I'm talking about, those beginning of the year memes that make no sense but are funny for like a day because no spicy memes are out yet.

Shit Meme

An internet meme (usually political) that takes a particular ideology or statement completely out of context for the sole purpose of belittling or inciting a particular political demographic. Shit memes are factually incorrect and rely on the laziness or stupidity of the reader to go unchecked. When shit memes are allowed to be shared without resistance, it takes on an effect similar to a virus, spreading misinformation to people at an exponential rate.

Originaly defined by "81RD5"
Shit Meme Poster: Posts a [meme cherry picking a conservative city and a liberal city posting them side by side, with one photo showing the worst of city 1 and the other showing a beautiful skyline of city 2. A typical excerpt below the picture would compare how one political ideology runs the city 1 better because the shit meme creator happened to choose a nice skyline of that city 1 while posting a worn down neighborhood of city 2.

forced meme

A forced meme is a "meme" that came to be through consistent posting of the "meme" by the creator of the "meme". Almost all forced memes are not actually memes. Nobody usually understands these, they are simply just there. Most forced memes get completely dumped into the dark corners of the internet, though some actually become famous and somewhat memetic. A prime example of a forced meme that actually became a meme is F**k Yeah Seaking. It started out as a forced meme on /b/ but eventually spread out to other sites and became a meme.

Milhouse was also a forced meme, but he became so forced that it became common to reply to a Milhouse picture with the statement "Milhouse is not a meme." That sentence in itself became a meme. Milhouse himself never became a meme.
Poster 1: Here's a picture of Milhouse. He is a meme.
Poster 2: MILHOUSE IS NOT A MEME. STOP POSTING THIS STUPID FORCED MEME!!1!!111!
