The bar/tavern on the edge of town found on Mêlée Island in the fictional point and click adventure game monkey island byLucasFilm Games. This tavern is a popular haunt for many pirates including the three pirate leaders as well as some insanely drunk scallywag who is constantly spinning on the chandelier!
As the protagonist of the Monkey island series Guybrush Threepwood, you frequent the Scumm Bar often in the first game, on your quest to become a pirate of great renown/infamy.
The Scumm Bar also features, in my opinion, the besr musical score in the first game.

1)"Yaaargh, set sail for Mêlée Island and the Scumm Bar, where the Grog flows in amber/ nauseating green rivers!"
2)"Hand me a grog barkeep, with ten mugs if you please!"

Having or spending $100. C stands for "centum" the Latin word for 100. Bar stands for a bundle of bills. A C bar is different from a C note because it is multiple bills.

To not care about something that is said by another person, or is in the process of being said.
It is usually followed by the phrase "Plissee", a modified version of the word please. In saying "BAR CAR PLISSEE!!" - you are telling the person to please for the love of god shut up
This phrase is best used to shut someone up after you specifically make them start talking.

The practice of rhythm and blues horn players (quintessentially tenor sax players) to literally get up on the bar during a tune and walk it from one end to to the other, riffing and honking. Typical in the 1940's and 50's, it was deemed a display of machismo and virtuosity.
A friend of mine reported seeing tenor saxophonist Illinois Jacquet walking the bar in St. Louis. He moved along. playing and kicking over drinks as he went. One patron, objecting to the endeavor, pulled a switchblade knife out and stuck it into the bar in Illinois' path. When Jacquet came to that spot, he peered over his horn at the knife, turned around, and continued to play as he retraced his path.

a combination of the familiar terms homebody

not at home. they usually become restless at
home and end up at one of these favorite bars
whether they plan to stay there are not. while
they can be found there often they do not have
the same unattractive qualities that a barfly does.
