touch base

Most appropriately a business expression originating approximately 40-years-ago derived from the sport of baseball. During that time it was a novel and well accepted slang for the purpose of getting-in-touch with someone over any form of matter. By 1990, it became so over used to the point of becoming a corny expression eventually leading to the use mostly by an asshat as described. Today, such an expression is regarded practically as an insult for this very reason and is taken as a form of senseless needling, often meant to offend one's intelligence.

The only businesses who have become notorious for the term are financial institutions where, in fact, new employees are actually taught to use it in the form of customer psychology as it belittles the status of the borrower in relation to the lender, e.g., reminding the customer who the lender is and that they are in debt.

"Hi, John, this is Lois at Bullshit Finance! Just wanted to touch base and see how you are?"

At first, it was stated with in a game for the Sega Genesis known as "Zero Wing". In which the enemy states "All Your Base Are Belong to Us." The game otherwise was fine it seems, I never played it truely, but looked up on it.

Later a flash movie was made, in which the intro was the scene the phrase was stated then lead to a catchy song. THe words are only versions of "All your base" "all your base are belong to us" and a catchy tune. All the while a flashing of screenshots with the words "All Your Base" are put in to match quite nicely.

Defining the trashy women who hang around military bases looking for their next meal ticket. These worn out women usually have one or more children from different men, and only minimal education. They seek military men as a means to get insurance and a house for them and their offspring. They somehow convince poor soldiers to get married within a few months and shortly after they get pregnant with their kid, to ensure that their cash cow is forever attached to them.
