The act of coordinating who you invite to hang out with when you have multiple circles of friends with varying personalities that often clash, or individuals within the groups have beef with each other.
Ben wants to hang out tonight, but I'm going to Katelin's party and they don't get along. While I love both of them, I'll have to use my friend management skills to prevent drama from erupting.

Being a convenience friend means that you are always someone's last option if they have absolutely no one else to hang out with and nothing to do. When fun stuff is planned they will usually leave you out. You may also find that you are always be the one reaching out to make hangout arrangements. Occasionally the other person may call or text you first but this is rare. This is usually only done at times when money is scarce in order to assess whether you have anything of value which they can mooch off of you.
Bob: "I called Dave to see if he wanted to hangout, but he said he's busy at work even though its Sunday, which is weird because I could've swore I heard a party and laughter in the background. Guess I'm his convenience friend."

The diary friend is that one friend who you really trust with all of your secrets because you know they won't tell anyone. Often times the diary friend is used as a vent for trauma or personal problems such as mental health or relationships with other people.

A friend that that makes you feel like you could genuinely tell them ANYTHING without any judgment, someone who you have never worried about them spilling your secrets ever. Telling this friend something is like telling your diary, you can share any thought and it won’t be shared somewhere else.
Example 1:
Person A: Hey girl can I tell you something??
Person B: Of course, we’re diary friends!!
Example 2:
I wish my diary friend was here, I need to tell someone this

Usually when there are problems in the friendship and one doesn’t think it’ll last.
If the relationship was strong the person being dumped will go through a lot of mental pain.

Friend 1: “I feel like we are heading in different paths, our friendship won’t last in the long run.”
Friend 2: “Are you serious? Everything I’ve done for you. Where could’ve it gone wrong. I can’t believe you just friend dumped me.

an acquaintance whom you see only about four times a year, typically every three calendar months, even though you generally get along jovially. The lack of more frequent camaraderie can be due to geographic distance, a lack of deeper connection, or as is most often the case - the passage of time in what was once a closer friendship
Yea, I was going to hit the bar with my buddy this Friday. I haven't seen him in months! He's more of a once-a-season friend.
