Tofik (also spelled tawfik, taofiq, taufiq, taofeeq, tewfik, taoufic, taofeek) is derived from arabic and means "successful, prosperous or fortunate". It's associated with the ability to prosper, achieve success or being fortunate in everyday life. While this is true, Taofiks do have their own sizable shares of ups and down. This is why a Taofik is good in cheering people up despite his own unhappiness which he hides well.
