Ottawa Line

An Ottawa Line is a group of people with no discernible organization despite them all attempting to perform the same task. It can also be used to describe a moment of chaos.
The term was coined while writing a Sociological Observation paper.

We were all having a great time at the party until his ex showed-up and then BOOM, Ottawa Line!" and "If an Ottawa Line breaks out when the bus arrives I'm seriously going postal this time.

Cartography: curved, gradient transparent lines that connect a portion of a small scale map, to a larger scale inset map.

On this map of Grand Canyon’s North Rim, I used transparent “swoosh lines” to link the inset map to the main map.

When someone claims they are doing/ have done, something embarrassing, original and or a bit sketchy and you know a lot of people that have previously done this. (Including yourself) say back of the line to let them know they are not the first.
