A fantastic album. I think more people would like it if they would sit down and listen to the message... beacause its a very good one, and people need to hear it. Sure, they may not like George Bush, but tahts not what the album is about. It's about American Youth and the decisions, trials, and tribulations we all go through, and the decisions we have to make. Its telling us to participate if we desire change, instead of having the same old "I dont care if you don't" attitude, and to be an individual, not a phonie.

An Album by Green Day that was half good half bad. I HATE Wake Me Up When September ends. but there are some good underrated songs like Letterbomb, Extraordinary Girl, Jesus of Suburbia and Homecoming. Holiday's okay because of the really anti-bush part near the end. Listen to Dookie or Nimrod instead.
Not real Fan: OMG! American Idiot rocks! I love wake me up when september ends.
Real Fan: Some of the songs are okay but Dookie's better.
Not Real Fan: What's Dookie?
*Thump* (Real Fan hits head into wall)

I agree. I own the album and its giving an important message. SO they may not like George bush but people are allowed to have opinions aren't they?
(((no example given)))

American Idiot is a good album. Sure, not Green Day's best, but they're talking about important issues and not just writing about the same blah blah blah most bands sing about. They've grown up! They have a right to create music about whatever they want. Green Day rocks! And damn, Billie Joe is HOT!
Green Day is an amazing band, with great song writing skills, a hot lead singer with a hot voice and cool political views.

2004 Album release from "Green Day," the influential punk/alternative rock band. The concept is a rock opera following the lives of youth in a world they portray as media dominated and where they have no voice.

1. Any half-witted MTV bopper who voted for John Kerry because he was told to. Of course, they fiercely maintain that they came up with their opinions on his own, but coincidentally they didn't have them until told what opinion he should have by MTV, MoveOn.org, or some other source of opinions for mindless drones.
2. Somebody who thinks that adding a definition to this word that refers to George Bush is the height of wittiness.
