Get the Scenemug. the whole scene lifestyle a fuckload of rules. I'm kinda fuzzy on the guy part of it, since I'm not exactly male, and I don't wanna mis-inform anyone, so I'll stick to the girl stuff. mmk?
so scene girls........god, where to start? I guess hair, because hair is probably the most identifiable part of a good scene kid, as long as they have scene hair. a lot of younger scene kids prefer to skip the hair, or atleast downgrade it, because a lot of schools see it as a dress code violation, or their parents might not let them. but I'm getting off the point. scene hair follows a few basic principles:
1} the cut. scene hair is usually choppy, sometimes even mullet-esque, but that's not always fashion-friendly. basically there are two main scene cuts: longish and shortish. short hair is usually a little longer than chin length in the front, with bangs that run straight across, usually just below the brow. the front pieces are typically longest, and angled upward to the back. on the back of their head it's usually cut in super-choppy layers that they use to gel in different directions. the longish cut usually has heavy side bangs, and a choppy cut all around. there's really no part that's particularly longer than the other parts. it's just all messy. sometimes they'll have grown out the very bottom layer, or put in super-long extentions on the bottom. hair is always straightened. no ifs ands or buts. always.
2} the colour. there are three main colours that are good for scene hair: black, red, or my personal favourite, white blond. usually black hair will be streaked with white blond, neon, or red, blond with black, neon, or red, and red with black, white blond, or neon.
3} the stylist. typically, scene hair is either styled by friends, the scene kid themself, or a stylist that's basically one of their friends. usually, however, it's one of the first two, as most parents don't want to pay for a stylish to "ruin" their child's hair.
it may seem like scene girls would all have the same hair, but it's amazing how different they can all look. people who say they're conformists are mostly just jealous. ;D

the best thing about scene is that you're fine however you are. scene kids will find something right with you when the cheerleaders and the preppies and the norms and even the dorks turn you away. and, of course, they have the most fun of any social group. because, really, what's more fun that going to local shows every weekend and getting so wasted you don't even remember what band you saw?

They come up with "Scene Names" most of their scene names have their name and then a word that usually starts with the first letter of their first name. Like Kiki Kannibal, for example. They have big hair and wear things that get them noticed. Girls have big, puffy, choppy, colorful hair and guys have frindge and colors, usually spiked up. Again, most the guys are hot, and most girls are pretty. Most of the Scenes are bi. They normally wear extensions and they have tattoos and piercings. They like to listen to techno and screamo. They say things like "ohh _____ is the sexx!" or "That shirt is so vogue!" Or "ORGASM!" or "SceneXkidXcore" and "br00tal" and usually at the end of messages they type XxXxX or xxxx. They also like to wear brands like Baby Cakes and Drop Dead! They worship people like Audrey Kitching, Zui Suicide, Kiki Kannibal, Jeffree Star, etc. They have to be one networking sites. Myspace and Bebo are the most popular sites for scene kids. They take tons of pictures of them selves and post them on their Bebo or Myspace. :
Some scene girls have become very popular and you could call them Scene queens like Kiki Kannibal and Audrey Kitching. They get famous by posting millions of pictures on Bebo and Myspace. -Very tight jeans that squish your nuts.
-Band tees usually consisting of bands such as Bring me the horizon or norma jean, Note: they must be size kids large or x-tra small, ALWAYS.
-Vans slip ons, usually with some kind of obscene image portrayed on them. Old Black converse would work too.
-Hair very long in the front; long sideburns that swipe over half their face and short in the back.
-Studded belts with half the studs ripped off to make it look checkered
-Any type of obscene peircing; i.e. the nose, snake bites, etc.
Girls
-Band tees with bands like Boys like girls, or shirts with little trinkets such as diamonds and little purple dinosaurs and also bats.
-Tight jeans
-Skirts with leopard skin tights
-black or white converse lo's
-lots of beads and bracelets
-loaded on mascara (looks like crap)
-long bangs and hair on the sides that hangs down to shoulders

Scene kids emerged from the big group of "emo" kids when they were tired of being called cutters and babies and what not. But most scene kids now are recognized for what kind of music they listen to, and always "being where the scene is." Scene kids Like to party at shows for bands they have never even heard of most of the time, and they shop for t-shirts at hottopic that are 2 sizes too small for them. Scene kids also listen to a lot of Metal/grindcore bands, and occasionally, you'll come across your wigger/scenester, who listen to a little rap. Scene kids also like to "get crunk" They use words such as "&&" and "OMGEEZ!!1", which they think will make them look cute. They also refer to oliver sykes a lot, the screaming frontman for Bring me the horizon.
Overall, scene kids are usually annoying to people who don't understand them and are a nuisance to society.
