as to who may have first used the expression grab capitalism by the balls to translate the Latin phrase carpe diem, IMHO as a history major, I would probably have to say it would have been the 'founders' of modern Western WASP capitalism, people like Thomas Jefferson, John Locke and Thomas Hobbes.

Get the capital 10 mug.A social and economic system of removing social and economic value using markers associated with race (e.g. such as dark skin or people of African descent) while attributing social and economic value using markers associated with race (e.g., white/light skin or people of European descent).
Example - Wealth is assigned to predominately white U.S. neighborhoods at higher rates than predominately Black, Hispanic, or Latinx neighborhoods. As more middle and upper class White families move into neighborhoods (gentrification) the property values increase but the reverse happens when Black families move into formally homogenized White neighborhoods.
