- a strong romantic feeling for someone that is not returned. This is often due to a one sided platonic relationship.
- a relationship is often built up in ones head, only to find out that the other person does not feel the same way, therefore it is unrequited.

Unrequited love

"Unrequited love". That one person you would die for, but they don't even care if you did. You're madly in love with someone who doesn't even notice you, someone who probably doesn't even remember your last name. You want to show them you would do anything for them, that they're literally your world. It makes you feel like you're so empty and that your life is meaningless without them.

You remember every fucking conversation you've had with them and every fake smile they gave you. You would do anything just to be friends, although they don't want to be.

It can feel like you're being stabbed constantly in the chest, crying in pain while you're the one holding the knife. Those many sleepless, drunk nights, wondering where everything went so wrong. Those are the nights that you wanted them the most.

It's like you're dead, but you're still alive.

I have so much unrequited love for them, that I need them to live, but they don't need me.

Loving someone unconditionally, regardless of what they say or do or anything that happens to them, and you feel an ache in your heart that they don't love you back, but at the same time you also feel happy that you love someone and at peace. You are happy and sad at the same moment. Tragic, but beautiful.
