The drummer for the Irish rock band, U2.

He posted a bulletin at his high school notifying anyone who was interested in starting a band to come meet at his house after school. In the end, Paul Hewson (Bono), Dave Evans (The Edge), Adam Clayton, and himself were to be in the band.

I'd say larry mullen jr. is in one of the most successful rock bands of all time.
