The Orwell Cycle

A series of years:
1920 1921 1924 1929 1936 1945 1956 1969 1984 2001 2020...
In which cataclysms or great cosmic change occurs in the geopolitical and economic order of the world. Some dates begin wars, others end them. On one, mankind even landed on the moon. They mark eras, and are a continuing trend. This past century, the Orwell Cycle has clearly followed a quadratic curve, the question is, will it continue to do so?

We’ll find out in 2041, when something BIG happens.
#1: Damn, this year sucks. All my plans have been ruined by the coronavirus. Now there’s rioting and the police have gone mad with power...

#2: Calm down, it will pass. At least nobody is dropping the bomb. The Orwell Cycle works in mysterious ways brotha, but you know what they say. Hindsight is 20/20

the idol cycle

What most people experience when they go on American Idol(before Paula and Simon left:

1. Enter the rehersal thinking you will actually win

2. Start singing like a dying animal and get cut off early by Simon

3. Get told you suck in a nice way by Paula

4. get called a dog by randy

5. get called absolute rubbish by simon

6. walk out swearing swearing and crying for some strange reason. you should have expected this

7. get blocked out by the little blue sign while all of america laughs at your failure and lack of talent

8. swear you will come back and/or prove the judges wrong
9. come back next year and repeat

The Carbon Cycle

The Carbon Cycle is probably better known as The Circle of Life. Since it is a continuous cycle, there is really no beginning of the cycle but we will start with the plants.

First the plants absorb carbon from the air through their leaves.
Then herbivores eat the plants and the plants give a percentage of their energy and their carbon to the herbivore.
Next carnivores eat the herbivores and that passes along energy and carbon as well.
Finally the carnivore dies, decomposes, and the carbon returns to the soil that eventually grows grass and other plants.

The atmosphere receives carbon from various sources but here are a couple:
- Burned fossil fuels.
- When animals exhale. (Including humans.)
- Believe it or not, volcanoes!
- Plant respiration. (When Plants "breathe" in, they also inhale oxygen so they exhale a portion of carbon dioxide.)
Grass absorbs carbon through leaves. Rabbit eats grass. Fox eats rabbit. Fox eventually dies, decomposes, and becomes soil. Soil grows new grass. That is the Carbon Cycle.

go through the power cycle

IT support desk lingo for turning your PC on and off again , a modern version of "please reboot your machine" , normally said in an incredibly patronising and monotone voice
My f**king PC crashed again and those IT geeks just told me to go through the power cycle so now I've lost a whole days work .

The nut cycle

The cycle of increasing power in the Nut hierarchy. There are 4 main layers, those being Nutman, Nut Lord, Nut Master, and the almighty Nut God. To become Nutman, one must complete one No Nut November successfully, which only grants the title of Nutman. Nut lord requires a 3 years of victorious Novembers, which allows for the spell "Fat Nut", which triples the amount of nut you produce (one day cooldown). Nut Master requires 5 consecutive Novembers, however it allows for the choice of twin-spelling your nut, or Nut-eye, which brings your aim to a molecular level. Nut God is unexplored so far, as none have attempted to achieve it (until now). One must win 20 Novembers in a row, and they become a waterbender of nut, as well as an undiscovered power. There also exists the trial of Blue, which can bring a lowly Nutman up to Nut-Godhood, which entails giving yourself blue balls every day of November.
Leroy: Have you heard that Timothy is attempting the jump across the nut cycle?
Horton: No way! I'd he doing the trial of Blue?
Leroy: yep, soon we'll all discover the prizes of the rank of Nut God!
