When a piece of media uses a part of their past (an era, setting, etc) in order to gain more positive reactions from its fan-base through nostalgia and familiarity. This reaction stays until the novelty wears off & the fans gets tired of it.
"Billie Piper is the new Doctor Who!"
"Oh my god, when will they stop bringing back old characters? This is just The Green Hill Effect happening again!"

(DBEism) - a secondary, typically highly desirable effect of a D-Block Europe track.
"This new DBE World tape is guaranteed to give listeners otherworldy side effects"

"Did you listen to DBE World? I knew it was going to be fire but I didn't know the side effects would be going to another planet!"

n: what you experience when you travel in Melbourne's public transport rail system. Delayed trains, dirty seats, violent ticket inspectors, passengers squashed in like sardines.
If in a crowded train and another passenger falls on you the violent movements of the carraige. Do not let them apologise; blame the connex effect!

The uncanny ability for any insult to find it’s way back to the a certain person, especially if said person is the “victim” of your groupchat.
Q: How does every insult somehow find its way back to Abdullah?
A: Oh yeah, that’s just the D. Khanzir effect in full force.

When it's a joke or a pun and you miss the main punch line but catch it later and it hits you in the back of the head at a random time

The "Anne of Cleves"-Effect describes a situation in which a girl or guy does not look as good in real life as they do on a picture/ look much better on a picture than in real life. It gets it's name after Henry VIII married Anne of Cleves and tried to get into her knockers after seeing a painting of her by an artist who seemed to have 4/20 vision and a massive bag of gold coins in return for drawing her like one of those french girls.
#1: So? How was the tinder date?
#2: Ugh. She looked nothing like she did in the profile pic.
