Child-Friendly Horror

This term can mean two things.
1. (Adjective)- A horror game or series whose fanbase has been overrun by annoying children, whose ages are ususally 8-12. (e.g., Five Nights at Freddy's, The Walten Files, Poppy Playtime)
2. (Noun)- A horror game obviously meant to scare children that often takes the form of a Roblox game or low-quality Steam game. (e.g, Garten of BanBan, Rainbow Friends)

1. I used to love that game, but now it's been overrun by little kids and become a child-friendly horror.

2. I can't believe anyone would spend any time on that game. It's such a child-friendly horror.

White-Sugar Horror

A genre of horror, thriller, or suspense media, particularly motion picture films or video games, of low creative form, design, production value, writing, deriving it's elements from widely popular works of previously made fiction, or figures fictional or real of notoriety. Generally, this genre encompasses works of media that try to derive subject matters from nostalgia or from properties originally designed for children, in an attempt to feign doing something "edgy" or "different" or "meta", but do this to ride the coat tails and reputation of the property it takes after.

"Did you here they're making 'Steamboat Willie' into a horror flick?"
"It's just another White-Sugar Horror that's gonna end up streaming for free with ads."

New Age Horrorcore

A 2020s micro-genre characterized by aesthetic theft, where trap artists wear Black Metal corpse paint and use gore-site imagery to mask a lack of musical technicality. Unlike original horrorcore, New Age Horrorcore is purely digital, focusing on "clout-demon" posturing within Telegram groups and Discord servers.

It is often used by artists who have been rejected by the Metal and Goth communities for being "posers." The "horror" in the name usually refers to the artist's catastrophic financial situation and inability to function in adult society.

"The New Age Horrorcore scene is just a bunch of suburban kids in Illinois trying to look scary while their parents pay the Wi-Fi bill. It’s basically 'Debt-Core' for people with 764 in their bio. You can't achieve spiritual awakening through singing about mutilating women."

A movie so terrifying that I had to lock my children in my basement and lock all 7,823,034 door and window locks and hide for nearly half of a decade, This is my return note and I am hoping I never have to experience the terrifying film known as Open season: scared silly

Guy 1: Dude, did you see Open Season: scared silly (2015 horror movie)?
Guy 2: *has Vietnam flashbacks*

Guy 1: You good bro?
Guy 2: *shakes away flashbacks* *throws up**has seizure*
Spongebob Narrator: 2 weeks later
Guy 2: never speak of that again!

Every year, February 15th is Horror Movie Day!
Celebrate this holiday by watching a scary movie!

Michael: "What day is today?"
Jason: "Today is February 15th, Horror Movie Day!"
