Person 2: No, my mom says that violent video games cause violence in real life.
Person 1: That's just a parent scare, it's not true.

Get the Parental Gaymug. A parenting method with a mostly negative connotation. The parent ignores the child completely, acting like they don't exist until one small issue arises that is forced upon them by someone else and then the parent bursts into action, usually an over-reaction, until the issue is resolved. Afterwords, returning to their comatose parenting state.
Did you see that woman over-react when that man told her what her child did to him? She must subscribe to the burst parenting method

Guy 1: "Man, I can't believe you had to move back in with your parents"
Guy 2: "Yeah it's not so bad though, I have a well paid job and I cook my own meals so my parental footprint is pretty small"

Get the Parent shoppingmug. These are the types of parents that over obsess about their children doing good in grade school and think that their child is some sort of child prodigy. Usually their child will be a tad brighter than most in actuality, but instead of viewing their child as bright, they view them as some sort of young Isaac Newton. These types of parents are likely going to send their child to some sort of STEM school as soon as possible, and hold little regard for their child's relationships or even mental well being, as to them, these "relationships" are meaningless and friends are not needed to achieve things in life. These types of parents tend to tell their children "mottos" to live by, which in reality is their own convoluted propaganda such as: "Educate, Educate, Educate".
While these phrases hold little actual meaning, In the mind of the parent, they are only doing what is right.
These types of parents often do not realize, or ever truly realize what they are doing by dictating their children's lives with the premise of; Education is Power, and most of the children who fall victim to these kinds of parents never do truly succeed due to the overwhelming amount of stress and ridicule they receive from their parent's dictation and manipulation of their entire childhood and early to mid teenage years.
You can be above average, but just because you are doesn't mean that you are the next Einstein..

John: Hey. Did you see how those parents insisted on how their kid would raise the school's success rate by himself.
Molly: Yeah, I did. Kid looked really nervous, almost like he was expected to do something he was incapable of.
John: Now that you mention it, the way that kid's parents talked about him made them seem an awful lot like STEM Parents..
