Green Day Fan

A fanatic of the punk rock band Green Day;
There are four types:

Old Fan: Liked Green Day since 1,039/Smoothed Out Slappy Hours; since the early 90s.

New Fans: Liked Green Day since they heard Nimrod or Warning:

American Idiot Fans: The fans who tend to 'type lyekk diz'; only know of Green Day as 'that hawwt billy jo'. Like Green Day after the release of American Idiot and cannot name a song on Dookie. Also known as poseur.

Real Fans: The fans who might have been around in the Dookie era, or maybe just heard of Green Day with the release of American Idiot; these type of fans are the fans that, whichever era they started liking Green Day, are obsessed. These are the fans that know every single song on every single album and all the lyrics.

Real Green Day fans are those who stick around, even though Green Day is now mainstream; the ones who respect Green Day and are proud of their fame.

Old Green Day Fan: "I saw Green Day play at Gilman 16 years ago. They were awesome."
New Green Day Fan: "After hearing Dookie, I love Green Day!"
American Idiot Green Day Fan: "Oh em gee. Billy jo is uber sekzi."
Real Green Day Fan: "I wish I was around when Green Day played at Gilman.."

National History Day

National History Day is a contest that is held annually in which students research a historical topic pertaining to a yearly theme. Then they must do a project on it in the form of a paper, a skit, a documentary, or a posterboard thing. The winner at nationals receives 1,000 dollars.

Doris Day Parking

If you watch old Doris Day movies, she has the most amazing parking luck and timing. Ms. Day was one of the first ladies to drive solo in movies and she had the uncanny knack of pulling up in front of the bank, butcher, office, etc. and getting the spot right in front of the door.

As such, Doris Day Parking spots are the PERFECT parking spots - mere steps to the door of any establishment. Good mojo for Doris Day Parking is said to to be acquired by singing the Doris Day version of "Que Sera Sera" as you approach the area in which you are seeking a parking spot.

I was short on time when I drove to the bank at lunch, so I sang "Que Sera Sera" the whole way. When I arrived there was Doris Day Parking; the spot was so close, three steps from my car to the door.

three days grace

An alternative rock band from Canada. Originally consisting of three members: Adam Gontier, Neil Sanderson, and Brad Walst. They are the three guys that play on the self-titled debut album. Barry Stock was added a little later on, to play guitar with Adam.

Three Days Grace has put out two full-length albums. The self-titled debut in 2003 and One-x in 2006.

Singles from the debut are:
"Just Like You"
"I Hate Everything About You"
"Home"

So far the only single from One-x is "Animal I've Become"

Three Days Grace owns my soul.

I waited three years for One-x and was not disappointed.
