Drop a friend October

Literally, every single person can relate to wanting to drop their toxic friends right around October for 2 reasons:
1) School started and you gave them a month to redeem themselves
2) They didn't redeem themselves and their time is up
Drop a friend October is not even planned either. It ALWAYS just happens naturally and it is because October is such a good month, that we can't let these toxic people ruin it.

Example:

Linda: Jaime keeps kissing my boyfriend behind my back and I'm sick of it.
Tina: Omg good thing it's drop a friend October. Literally, just forget about her.
Linda: OMG YES! I totally forgot. I think its time to move on from Jaime. And my boyfriend.

once a year friend

A friend who isn’t readily available to you even though you swear you’re tight and refer to them as a bestie. Although you genuinely get along well, you’re still not in their top tier of go-to friends. Realistically, you’re just inbox and text buddies who may happen to hang once a year.

She thinks her once a year friends really give a shit about her, they wouldn’t piss on her if she was on fire.

Friends no mo' Benefits

This is when you arrangement with a friend with benefits ends, due to other party beginning a monogamous relationship, etc. Or its when a tryst suddenly drops off the face of the earth due to family commitments during major holidays.

A: Oh look! I got an email from Joe!
B: Is that one of your friends with beneis? What does it say!?
A: (reading) Message body:

Just wanted to let u know that I won't be stopping by anytime soon. I met someone and while its still new, I don't want to fuck this up, and I would if I played. He knows I like to play but he ask's that I don't while we see where this goes. It was a fun run.

B: Guess that's a Friends no mo' benefits with that dude. Bummer.
