A phrase said while touching someone's nose and smiling like a small child. Usually denotes the lack of any productive activity to engage in.

Girl: (with a cutesy look on her face) Oh stop it!!

When someone is using foul language, or tells a dirty joke at a dinner party, the host may politely yet firmly request he "stop that word". If that same someone continues with his rude antics, the host may stop the guest and remove him from his home.

someone: "...and then he called a hooker."

False Stop

The act of coming to a complete stop at a red light only for it to instantly turn green, making your stop unnecessary and subsequently annoying.

Man I can't believe I stopped at that red light, and it totally turned green right away. I hate when I make a false stop!
