Mosh pit 

(Idiom noun) Where the little linkin park kiddies with girlfriends bigger than they are start to hump eachother and get hurt. They pretend these wounds were inflicted by some big fight. The truth is, that if anyone who is not some ghey little nu-metal fan gets in the pit, they knock the living shit out of everyone, including the scrawney singers, security and road crew.

The mosh pit is the dumbest fucking idea ever. It is for people too cowardly to get in a real fight. The pit sucks my dingdong.

Mosh Pit 

Controlled chaos, of people slamming, bumping into each other, and generally having a good time. Most mosh pits are NOT about hurting each other. Its simply sharing in an adrenaline rush, and hyperactively expressing some kinetic energy.

There ARE rules and guidelines for being in a mosh pit. Intentionally trying to hurt other people, will in most cases, get you kicked out of the pit at best, or banned from the venue at worse.

There are usually 'safe zones' at the front of the stage, and the back, for people that do not wish to partake in the festivities. Often, a mosh pit will be surrounded by people that guard the safe zones, forming a "wall" around the pit.

A kind of Dance move, well I would call it a dance move, I say its moreso Stupidly flailing and crashing into objects and people to high tempoed music. Popular at a Azn pride party or concert full of Asian Hunnies in skin tight leather shorts and shaking their nice booties.

The fine Asian chick most pitted between a bunch of white boys and I was one of the white boys.
