1) Adj., Something widely recognized as factual. It typically includes quasi-science, celebrity gossip, irrelevant news stories, and other sensational garbage. It is on the cover newspapers (mostly tabloids) one day, and has faded into an oblivion the next. Usage often implies sarcasm.

Portmanteau of flabby and muscular. A flabscular individual is one who has lost a significant amount of weight and put on muscle mass without undergoing skin removal surgery; the result is large flaps of loose skin marring an otherwise impressive physique.
