SSD has two meanings, but this one is for the people who wanna roast their boyfriend's

SSD means super small dick in this term.

Person 1: Hey remember that threesome we had last night my boyfriend had a super SSD.

Person 2: Damn it was super tiny how did we even have the threesome.

Person 1: I just texted my boyfriend and told him "you have an SSD"

SSD

Solid State Drive. Something console peasants can only dream of at present. Something standard on PC for the past 5 years. Someone marveling at the speed with which games load like a peasant would marvel at seeing running water in someone's house.

A hard drive built out of chips similar to RAM or USB sticks with no mechanical parts. In contrast old computers and consoles use mechanical drives with spinning discs inside. The single best upgrade for your old PC.

In December 2020 console peasants will get SSDs with their PS5s.

SSD Drive

A misnomer for an SSD. 'SSD' stands for solid state drive, so calling it an 'SSD Drive' would be calling it a 'solid state drive drive'.

Adam: "Yo i just installed an SSD drive in my PC! It's so fast!"
Mark: "... you mean an SSD?"
Adam: "Yeah, the new SSD drive thingy, it makes it go so much faster!"
Mark: "The D in SSD already stands for 'drive', so why are you adding an extra 'drive' to the end? So you're installing a solid state drive drive to your PC?"
Adam: "uhm, i don't know. i just thought that was what it was called, just like an HDD drive."
Mark: "... HARD DISK DRIVE.... DRIVE?!?!?!?!?!?!?!"
