When a dog gets a dingleberry that twists the butt hairs until they start to pinch, the dog may start hopping its back legs in the air while running - sort of like a bucking bronco. Then it will stop suddenly to chew the dingleberry, then start running again and hopping its back legs again. The dog may do this several times in succession making for quite a funny spectacle. The dog has become a dinglehopper. I heard this term used laughingly by my friends as a child in the 60's and 70's whenever we saw a dog with this crazy behavior.

Look at that crazy dog jumping around....he's a dinglehopper!
