Commit basically means to do something and is often used by people in the form of jokes or in place of the word "do".
Example
"Time to commit noob murder in CoD:M" means "Time to kill noobs in CoD:M"

"Aight guys I'mma go and commit dishes."
"Time to commit sleep"
