Elastic Defense

In military terminology, this refers to a strategy used to flexibly absorb then repel the advance of attackers through carefully planned integrated fighting positions.

In modern slang terminology however, this is an over the top way to refer to a condom.
Definition 1: “We need to emplace mines and set up ambush positions in order to form an elastic defense at the valley entrance.”

Definition 2: “Babe I’m soooooo horny, I hope you brought your elastic defense!”

Tower Defense

A type of game where you defend against waves of enemies attempted to attack an end point in a path. Instead of attacking the enemies yourself, you have 'towers' that will attack them for you with positions chosen by you. In almost all of these games you can upgrade these towers to make them stronger. The most popular tower defense games are often made by Auckland based company Ninjakiwi with their series of tower defense games since 2007 and their most recent tower defense game BTD Battles 2 or just Battles 2 in 2021.

Being a backronym of AADC (the title of an Indonesian movie), "approach-avoidance defensive conflict" refers to the psychological struggle where a single goal has both positive and negative aspects, causing a person to be both drawn to and repelled by it. This internal tension leads to stress and indecision as the individual weighs the pros and cons, and the conflict often results in periods of back-and-forth thinking. Examples include wanting a promotion but dreading the longer hours, or wanting a vacation but being discouraged by the high cost.
She faced an approach-avoidance defensive conflict when she considered accepting the job offer; the salary was great, but the thought of a longer commute made her hesitate.
