Watching my daughter give up the winning goal in the 1st round playoff - game 7 to be exact, was a certified maple leaf moment for our family, filled with disappointment and frustration.

Judd Moment

A Judd Moment is where you enter a conversation and you have no clue what’s happening, what’s going on, or what they’re talking about and you get scared, worried, confused, horrified, or straight up dumbfounded by it and you would be better off without being further part of and not given context of the conversation.

(User if said phrase): bro, this is a total Judd Moment.

Or

(User of said phrase): I’m having a total Judd Moment right now.

Or

(User of said phrase): WOW, this is a total Judd Moment for me guys!

Truman Show moment

An event which seems unbelievably contrived - so much so that when it happens to you, you begin to suspect that you are not a real person, but a character in a celestial sitcom.

(from a Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour episode, ca. 1956) You are in Las Vegas and you and the Mertzes want to go on a uranium hunting expedition in the desert, and children are not allowed. You then discover that a couple you know from New York is staying in the same hotel with their child. Little Ricky then goes to Hoover Dam with the other couple and their child, freeing you to hunt for uranium. The "Truman Show moment" occurs when you discover that the other couple is at your hotel.
