One who does not participate in real life. They only interact with others when absolutely needed via texting, email, Facebook, Youtube, Instagram, and the like.

I think I may be a cyber hermit. I didn't go outside for over a month. My family would have thought me dead except I kept posting pictures of my cat on Facebook.

An addiction to any activity on the internet, games, social media sites ie: Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest,Instagram etc.

the obsessive compulsion to go online and participate in any of the above.

I started reading my email this morning but got sucked into Pinterest for two hours, and after 100 pins I was so close to a thousand I had to keep pinning! It's worse then my compulsion to check My Facebook page every hour. It's another cyber-diction.
