A slang term for a member of a national guard (NG). While it can be used endearingly, it's mostly used as a derogatory term by state defense force (SDF) members.

SDF Member 1: "Some national guard guy called me a 'dirty statie' yesterday."

SDF Member 2: "Fuckin' nats are always rude, don't let it get to you."
