Main Character is Main Charactering. It means that the Protagonist of a story is showing behavior, promise, talent, potential, etc. befitting that of their rightfull role as main character. This expression is usually said or depicted when stories start with a main character who lacks the quality and traits of a main character.
Example: A MC that lacks power, magic, talent, OP skills, Cheat skills, influence, fame, a HAREM, and anything that a person watching anime would said that such qualities belong to a main character in the beginning of a story/adventure.

A professional translator for 15 years, I'm incredulous (and maybe jealous). This sounds like something a modern-day teenager with too much free time on their hands would do (but that doesn't mean I don't accept that she's a good singer and capable of some fine work of genuine creative merit).
