When 2 or more people are together but not talking. Or when a group of people are talking together, but one or more of them is sitting in silence.

Conversational pause

An awkward pause in a good conversation in which both of the people run out of things to say and are are frantically racing through their heads to find something interesting to talk about. Once one of them finds something to say, its usually just plain random and not connected to the previous conversation in anyway.

Person 1: ...And the next thing you know, the nigger started jumping him for his hotdog..

Person 2: ..wow that sucks......

~l o n g p a u s e~

Person 1: so.. what gaming system you got?

Person 2: ....*sigh*...we gotta come prepared with stories so we won't have that uncomfortable conversational pause..

Person 1: right.

Nonversation

A nonversation occurs when someone talks to you (most commonly on a social networking site or via text) about something you don't care about and can't really answer back to.

If you're ever in the situation where someone is talking AT you and your brain says "I don't actually care" then you're in a NONversation!

Facebook/Skype/text pop-up...

Person A: Hey guess what
You: What?
Person A: I got a new phone!
You: Cool
Person A: Yeah its really good and now I can connect to wi-fi its really great I've downloaded some apps and its the best thing ever.
You: Cool...
---
Your brain: Dude you're in a nonversation, get out now!
---
You: Yeah so I'm going out now talk later

Conversation Jacker

Almost immediately after beginning to tell a story, you are interrupted by someone who begins to tell their own story of how the same thing happened to them. The interrupter continues to talk about themselves, and they never ask you about your story as if it never happened.

"I began to tell Stephanie how I almost got into an accident today, but she started telling me how she almost got into an accident as soon as I started my story!Then she just kept talking about all the accidents she almost got into in her life and never asked me about my accident. She's such a conversation Jacker."

Conversation Stalemate

The point in a conversations when a reply to "lol", "mhmm", etc. are met with the same/similar response, stagnating or stopping the conversation. Occurs most commonly in text messages and phone calls.

Al: "So then I had to buy up all the bread in the store. Crazy, right?"
Joe: "Yeah!"
Al: "Mhmm."
Joe: "Mhmm."
Al: "We hit a conversation stalemate, I'll text you later."

stoned-conversation

When you stoned-call a person, you have a conversation with them. Having an under-the-influence conversation with a social peer. Also, having a conversation with a person because your high as f*ck.

Joe: Dude! I'm so high! Let's stoned-call Sally!
Bob: Hell ya bro! We might be able to start a stoned-conversation with her!
Joe: Let's do that sh*t man!
