Apparently, it's a word that people use to describe anything they want it to describe.
However, it describes erratic, unplanned, unpredictable, last minute behavior. Usually behavior that is irresponsible and indifferent to potential negative consequences.

Instead of going home after work, he very whimsically drove to Las Vegas, without telling anybody.

Whimsical Adventure

A Whimsical Adventure is where you and your closest friends / the boys go on a trip to somewhere that isn't one another's personal domicile.

Often involves mischievous happenings such as but not limited to: Trespassing, evading capture, being chased by variety of people/ animals, fighting, Car break downs, Illegal usage of fireworks, devious tea-spilling, cop/warden encounters, etc.

Whimsical Adventures often lead to the creation of Dad lore, Uncle Lore, and Grandma / Grandpa lore.

Guy 1: Yo y'all trying to go to this old abandoned house in the woods?

Guy 2: Hell yah it'll be a Whimsical Adventure!!!

Girl 1: Wanna go to the abandoned carnival?

Girl 2: Sure! It'll be a Whimsical Adventure!!
