Pulling a Griswold

The act of taking something that is going smoothly and according to plan, then intentionally sabotaging it for no other reason than to add chaos.

"I couldn't stop Kyle from pulling a Griswold at my Eagle Scout project last night"
"Oh no. What happened?"
