As a verb, this is when an individual uses the theme from The Fresh Prince of Bel Air as a lead-in to a story or conversation, often a bad one. This is akin to the idea of the Bel Air, but instead lulls the listener into a false sense of security then drops the bomb on their head. This concept was first found in the webcomic xkcd, #464, entitled RBA.
This is how a Reverse Bel Air should work:
Girl: Now this is a story all about how, my life got flipped turned upside down, and I'd like to take a minute, just sit right there, I'll tell you about how I became uncertain about our relationship. I think you just like having a girlfriend, it doesn't matter who. I think we should break up.
Guy: ...wait, seriously?
Girl: Yeah.

The show is about Smith (named after himself) getting in a fight in West Philidelphia. His mom then sends him to Bel Air, California for education and behavior. Smith's lifestyle often clashes with his cousins Carlton, Hillary, and Ashley, and Uncle Phil and Aunt Vivian. 148 episodes were produced and aired, and the show was ended in 1996.

The funniest, most entertaining show EVER made. It stars Will Smith as himself that was from Philadelphia, PA to Bel-Air. He lives with his uncle Phillip (James Avery), aunt Vivian (From Janete Hubert Whitten to Daphne Maxwell), and cousins Ashley (Tatyana M. Ali), Carlton (Alfonso Ribeiro), and Hilary (Karyn Parsons). I highly recommend seeing this show if you haven't and this is one demonstration of a show that "never gets old".

A place, located in the middle of no where but the people think they run the world, full of rich families and their rich kids who all drive convertables. The Harford mall is the hang-out spot(that no one seems to remember pre-GAP) for the mall rats in middle school. When you hit high school, this can be upgraded to the Plaza, aka the parking lot between McD's and Superfresh. This usually doesnt last long, until you are all kicked out to Wawa down the street. There is nothing to do in this town, except smoke pot and have sex. Harford county is the number 2 county in the nation for growing pot, and its not a suprise my mom got scared she said "you're moving with your auntie and uncle in Bel-Air". I whistled for a cab and when it came near the license plate said "Fresh" and had dice in the mirror if anything I could say that this cab was rare but I thought nah, forget it, yo homes to bel-air. I pulled up to a house about seven or eight and I yelled to the cabbie Yo homes, smell you later. Looked at my kingdom I was finally there to sit on my throne as the prince of Bel-Air.
