"Karen" is not a sexist, racist, or "based on class" word. Anyone, be them male or female, white, black, or other, rich or poor can call a woman a "Karen", and "Karen's come in all races, and classes. Calling a woman a" Karen" merely denotes her MANY annoying and boisterous personality traits. These traits include (but are not limited to): an excessively high sense of self importance and entitlement, highly opinionated, short tempered, illogical, impatient, know it all, fatally authoritarian, ect.
The stereotypical "Karen" is seen as a short haired, middle aged, high middle to upper class white woman with an overactive superiority complex as well as being a know it all who seems to derive enjoyment from publicly humiliating those she deems inferior to herself.

"No Karen our BOGO for a $1 does not mean you can buy a large water and get a double bacon quarter pounder for a $1 that's just not how it works."

a meme used by people too lazy to more effectively label or respond to behavior they don't like.
"Hey, Karen, it's all good. It's only a meme, a shield, a scar. We really are nice people, you know..."
Enough of this childish name-meme mania already. People need to stop hiding behind (and abusing at the same time) the names of average people, and just use the terms that fit, whatever they are. I'm sure the name-callers would feel different if it were their names, or their spouse/child's name, or some ethnic/etc label that matches them and that they care about. Grow up, people. The emotional trauma that this callous behavior causes is real.
This may seem to many just light entertainment, just swimming in or reflecting on the cultural context we find ourselves in. Well it sends and amplifies messages far beyond that, and you are responsible for your part in it. Please help the end-result of whatever you do or say in relation to this meme to have a more positive result for the specific people affected, and the maturity of our society in general.

Jamie: Did you hear that the PTA president yelled at the Chipotle manager for forgetting extra guacamole?
Stephanie: I did! She’s such a Karen

A middle aged woman with blond hair and a bob. They’ll usually say “I’m gonna sue you!” —or—“Where’s your manager?” It honestly gets really annoying at times. Never even try to make conversation with them. Some Karens are good, though. They can be kindhearted. So, if you see a good Karen, feel sorry for them. Feel sorry for their name.
