Prevention - A man whose
father and grandfather had prostate cancer
may decide to have his prostate removed after he has had children to prevent prostate cancer later on.
Screening and blood tests are also ideal ways to identify cancer before they grow and induce symptoms.
Treatment: Once cancer has taken hold, there are many treatments to reduce symptoms and destroy existing tumours. These include surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
