It can mean a lot of things, each person has a way of obtaining happiness from whoever, whatever, wherever they like. It can be a group of people, a group of funny kind hearted people that makes you happy whenever you see them. That also, can be happiness for you.

What happened to happiness not being a metric for virtue? Oooooooooh. It's a metric when it's convenient. It's convenient when you can use it as a cudgel to disparage your opposition for their lack of it. Or your a priori presupposition that they lack it.
