a lifestyle with a certain type of music (fast and often wordless with electronic sounding noises) and a clothing style. the clothing style for me is amazing involving incredibly skintight jeans on both boys and girls and often leggings again on girls AND boys (both are great) everything worn is in the brightest colour possible and intended to be noticed. the style is often influenced by 60's 70's and 80's styles. fringes feature a lot as popular hair styles .
contrary to popular belief the klaxons are NOT NEW RAVE. they have said this themselves in many interviews. they just made up the term. i think new rave is the best fashion ever.

A subgenre of nu rave and antonym of klax-rave. Unlike klax-rave (derived from the band Klaxons) hadou-rave is more similar to grime, also using more rave/electo influences. Hadou-rave is derived from the British band Hadouken!.
There is an obvious difference between Hadouken! and Klaxons, therefore Klaxons should be categorized into Klax-rave and Hadouken! into Hadou-rave.

A pencil rave is a fairly new term for a rave commited by someone without any rave equipment. Instead of glow sticks, they use pencils. Because they have evolved beyond the level of needy "conventional" ravers, they do not require or possess ecstacy. They can drink gallons of water, but it is often best to keep a pencil rave as simple as possible. All you really need are pencils and loud music. Techno or rap will do fine.
"You ready for the pencil rave!"
"Yeah, man, I just got a new set of papermates and a DAFT PUNK cd!"
"Party on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

One who dresses like a radiant coral reef. Usually decked out in "candy". Loves loud, obnoxious, and repudiative music. Attends raves frequently.
