Law of Demonstration

The law of demonstration is a subset of Murphy’s law and works in two ways. A functioning process will not work when demonstrated, but a broken process will work perfectly. E.g. when trying to show IT an issue your computer is having, the issue will not occur.
“I was walking a colleague through a new process I created yesterday, but it just wouldn’t work. When I ran it by myself later, it was just fine!”
“Ah, you ran into the law of demonstration states”
