Short for "video; didn't watch". The well-known phenomenon of clicking what appears to be a link to an interesting article, only for it to be a video, usually of a smiling blonde chick reading a list. The tab or window is closed immediately, because (a) video takes much longer to get through than a simple Buzzfeed-style article, or (b) the surfer is doing it on work time, when watching videos can get you fired.

"Top ten funniest things about dying in a house fire. Looks interesting.

"Ehh, it's a video. Naw."

dub V

The end result of the word shortening evolution of WHATEVER, to which WHATEVERS came about and then became WHATEVS which now can be shortened to DUB V(short for the practical initials WV). By definition a exclamatory word of dismissal in a conversation, and especially an argument.

"You know that you are not allowed to bring whip its into the club, even if you smuggle them in your go go boots...I hear they search you at the door."

"Oh, dub V!" As she heads towards the club entrance.

Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization

In June 2022, Roe v. Wade, which protects a woman's right to abortion across the United States, was struck down in this case by a Republican-majority Supreme Court. This case is a huge blow to women's rights, and, if Justice Clarence Thomas is to be believed, might even lead to the further erosion of hard-fought 14th amendment civil rights, including same-sex marriage and interracial marriage.

In June 2022, SCOTUS overturned the landmark decision of Roe v. Wade in the Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization case, making abortion no longer a protected right in the United States.

duff (v.) (eng.)

to attract a person of the opposite by bending one's arm at a 45 degree angle and resting it on his/her head then proceeding to rest that arm on the nearest solid object. the "duffer" proceeds to be in close proximity to the "duffy" and ask said "duffy" ridiculous questions in a terrible attempt to pick the person up.

Dibbed (v.)

1. When a guy refrains from hitting on a girl because his mate has 'dibs' on her.

2. When a guy won't get with a chick because one of his mates has already got with her.

3. When a girl can't get with a guy cause his stupid friend likes her.

4. When a girl can't hook up with a guy she likes because his other male friend and her were once seen flirting.

Eg: Despite Rebecca being all for it, Danny wouldn't get with Rebecca because his mate Andrew had dibbed (v.) her.

Eg: Mandy couldn't hook up with Daniel because their mutual friend Jason had dibbed (v.) her.
