A person, usually of Filipino heritage, who relativizes the dictatorial rule of Ferdinand Marcos, president of the Philippines between 1965 and 1986. Marcos, elected for 6 years, created a martial law dictatorship. The result was a brutal 20-year regime responsible for the systematic terrorizing, torture and death of approx. 85,000 citizens. Critics were murdered, newspapers censored, and thousands disappeared without a trace, never to be found. Marcos and his wife Imelda were also proven to have plundered circa 10 billion US dollars from the nation's coffers. Ultimately, the clan was ousted during the People Power Revolution of 1986, after the military cut ties with the dictator.
In 2022, millions of young voters were duped and brainwashed by the clan into believing that the Marcos era was one of golden opportunity and economic growth, by means of denial, fake news, paid troll accounts and terrifying historic revisionism.
A Marcos Apologist goes to great lengths to downplay or even deny the events and repercussions of the Marcos dictatorship, many of which influence the Philippine nation to this day. He/She is typically either too young to have experienced the terror of the regime, or used to be a loyal crony during the Marcos presidency. SM is an awesome city! located in north county san diego...its a pretty small city but is fast growing. layed back people..skaters,surfers,potheads,gangsters,emo kids, you name it, we got it. although it seems like SM is split apart now that there are 2 different high schools. theres the mission side and the smhs side. n-78 and s-78...you wouldnt understand unless you live here.
SM is a great place..altho there are plenty of kids that hate it. FUCK THEM! we might have the best fuckin weather in the world! and...a great place for buying furniture!haha
