Antis are against this idea, identifying many ships are not okay and may strongly oppose certain ones due to abusive nature between characters, ped*philia, the characters both being minors in a sexual relationship, etc.
Anti-shippers use the term for themself but it is often used by Pro-shippers as a dogwhistle and way of making those opposing problematic ships seem like they're the one's being toxic( because "Anti-shipper" sounds like a type of exclusionist, which i guess it is but for fair reason), pushing the rhetoric that "it's okay because it's fictional".
