Sometimes propagating in spite of truth and logic.” A memetic idea is an idea that spreads whether it wants to or not, it’s unknown when the word “meme” was first coined or phrased but it’s likely first mentioned Richard Dawkins 1976 book “The Selfish Gene”

When meme immunity occurs for the majority of the online community, the meme is said to be 'out of date' or 'over-used'. At this point, many people start using the meme ironically.
